Brian McClellandI have children and grandchildren. I know that my duty is to do whatever I can in the hope that they may have a chance of living their lives a decent world. I have worked in medicine all my life. I am alarmed and angry about the speed of environmental destruction and global heating. I have absolutely no doubt that human damage to our planet is now by far the greatest risk to health and survival.

My family and I moved to East Lothian a few years ago from Saudi Arabia. We love living in such a beautiful place to get out in nature and walk our dog. We do everything we easily can to look after our environment but it isn’t enough. I don’t think companies or the government are doing enough, either, and I feel powerless to tackle that as an individual. Through CAEL I hope that we can come together to make a bigger difference than the sum of our individual efforts.
